What is family formation?
Family Formation is a catechetical model for families that puts the family at the center of teaching children to love God, and to know, understand, and live their Catholic Faith. Through monthly meetings and at-home lessons, we provide parents the resources to teach the Faith to their children in grades K-6. The whole family gets to grow in their Catholic faith- together! Watch for more information as we continue to rework our Faith Formation model!
We believe that forming the faith of our youngest members is vital to the future of our families, our Church, and our world. SJA's Faith Formation classes are held September through April on Wednesday evenings at our Shakopee Area Catholic School (SACS).

Middle School parents, please note that Confirmation is a two-year program beginning in 7th grade.
FAITH FORMATION TUITION
Participating families are asked to help support our Faith Formation program through tuition.
Tuition payments cover less than 25% of the cost of our program. The balance of our cost is paid through the annual giving of all SJA parishioners.The cost for the first student is $175. Each additional student is $75.
Teachers and Childcare Volunteers receive a $100 discount off the cost of the first student.
Hall Monitors, Hospitality Helpers, and Substitutes receive a $75 discount.We have online payment available through Vanco below or you are welcome to pay with a check or cash. Because of costs related to staff work and for ordering materials prior to the first class, we do not issue refunds for families who withdraw from our program after registration.
Saints Joachim & Anne does not turn any family away for financial reasons. Please note that payment plans and financial assistance forms are available! Fill out the Financial Assistance Form linked below and return to the Parish Office.

We are looking for joyful and enthusiastic volunteers to pass along the Catholic faith. Please consider joining our incredible team of volunteers as a teacher, childcare helper, hall monitor, hospitality helper, or substitute! All volunteers receive a tuition discount.
