Archbishop Hebda encourages men to prayerfully consider joining the Knights. Read his letter here...
Since 1882, membership in the Knights of Columbus has been open to men 18 years of age or older, who are "practical" (that is, practicing) Catholics in union with the Holy See. Since that time, the Knights of Columbus have understood "practical catholic" to mean a Catholic who accepts the teaching authority of the Catholic Church on matters of faith and morals, aspires to live in accord with the precepts of the Catholic Church, and is in good standing in the Catholic Church.
We are men who lead, serve, protect, and defend, whether we are giving out Coats for Kids, lending a hand in disaster relief efforts, supporting local pregnancy centers by donating ultrasound machines, or providing top-quality financial products.

Founded on the principles of charity, unity, and fraternity, the Knights of Columbus was established in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary's Church in New Haven, Conn., and a group of parishioners. Their intent? To bring financial aid and assistance to the sick, disabled, and needy members and their families. Blessed Michael McGivney was beatified by Pope Francis on October 31, 2020.

This contest encourages today’s youth to become citizens grounded in their faith and connected to their community. The goal of this program is to involve young Catholics in grades 8th-12th (public, private, parochial, or home schools during the current school year) in civic discourse and instill in them religious and life-affirming values.
Entrants will be judged on style, grammar, and how clearly they present the theme in a way that showcases creativity, imagination, and overall development of the topic.
Stop by the SACS Cafeteria between 4:30 and 7 pm on Fridays throughout Lent for a Fish Dinner hosted by the Knights of Columbus and Saints Joachim & Anne!

The Shakopee Knights of Columbus participate in a “Campaign for People with Intellectual Disabilities” where they offer tootsie rolls to everyone after they exit Mass one weekend in April. This fund supports many organizations across the state that help those with developmental disabilities. The most visible of these is the Special Olympics Bowling tournament.
Grab a tootsie roll after Mass and donate to this wonderful cause.
The Knights are grateful for your help and support!
